south of I-80 between Battle Mountain
and Carlin. It is about a 4 hour drive
from Reno, 6 hours from Las Vegas and
1.5 hours from Elko.
The Hilltop Road leads from Battle Mountain to these
lands via the Maysville Summit. This road is maintained
by the county. It is graded once a year, usually in the
spring. It normally gets closed by snow in the winter for a
couple of miles near the summit.

The route in from Crescent Valley is open year round and
accessible by 2wd cars about 95% of the time. Hwy 306
is a 70 mph paved road from I-80 to south of Crescent
Valley. There is an airport in Crescent Valley.

Take exit 261 from Interstate 80.
Go south on hwy 306 for 5 miles south of the
village of Crescent Valley.
Look for a wooden sign that says Hilltop and
Battle Mountain
Turn right at this sign.
5.8 miles from hwy 306 is eastern side of 320
acres (with sign)
6.8 miles from hwy 306 is western side of 320
acres ( with sign)
7.3 miles from hwy the road crosses the southern
side of the 663 acres (with sign)
8.3 miles from hwy the road crosses the western
side of the 663 acres ( with sign)
